While the first votes were indeed almost all "middle class", the preliminary results are more diverse and realistic than I expected btw.

Way too many people consider themselves to be "upper class" of course, but I'm surprised that so many people indeed realize that they are working class or lower. Maybe it has to do with the language? "Working class" sounds rather neutral or even slightly positive to me, while In my own language, german, the corresponding word has an extremely negative touch ("Unterschicht" - which kind of reminds of "Untermensch"). I wonder if the results would be different in a german forum.
