i would like to know more details on “Live TV will require a supported receiver device with HDMI output,”.
does that mean daisy chaining any old cablebox with HDMI output? is it an xbone specific peripheral? i think it is weird that it is NA only at launch cause i was under the impression all you had to do was plug the HDMI cable currently in my tv into the xbox and that was that.
honestly, if people have to drop an extra $50 for a peripheral or if only specific MS approved tv providers are supported i can't see this being big.

Daisy chaining.
Inside the US/Canada/Mexico, I don't think this is too big of a deal as NA is pretty Standardized. However, in the UK you have SCART, who knows what you have elsewhere in the EU. So, in the UK for example, Microsoft is likely willing to include the SCART adaptor for the TV, as it legally has to. But your satellite receiver for Sky, etc will need to have an HDMI output.
Here is another article on the subject, from CNET talking to Harvey Eagle about it.

In Germany, we have HDMI
Well, if you buy a new receiver in Germany, it's most probably dvb-s2 with an hdmi-interface. Cable is mostly done via built-in tuner but providers also give out dvb-c-receivers (nowadays also with hdmi, of course). But yes, I think there are still a lot of scart-receivers in use in Germany, too.
