I watched the first 10 minutes of the game being played and reading your description I can see it being similar to like the most recent Tomb Raider or something.
Obviously not as much killing, or enemies aren't human but weird ass monsters, and instead of guns having more fantasy type weapons.
But that's how I see this game. It's kind of like exploring in Tomb Raider, seeing ancient stuff and aliens and so on with puzzles.
Maybe this is Nintendo's attempt at Tomb Raider and/or Uncharted
