That was excellent.

Yeah, if there's one thing that makes me likely to put up with whatever restrictions the Xbox One has, it's Microsoft's exclusives. For all the talk about how Sony has more 1st-party studios and comes out with so many well-regarded games, there just aren't that many out there that really appeal to me. Uncharted, Journey, and The Unfinished Swan are the only Sony properties that make me think, "man, I'd really like a PS3." And yet if I have to choose between getting the next Uncharted and the next Halo, I'd pick Halo in a heartbeat.

But it isn't just Halo that keeps me an Xbox fan, it's a lot of their exclusives, both 1st- and 3rd-party. I'd take a F2P Fable MMO, with all it's trademark humor and fanciful art style (and potential design quirks) over another eye-meltingly gorgeous but utterly mindless God of War game. And if I had missed out on smaller exclusives like Bastion, Dust: An Elysian Tail, Shadow Complex, and Ms. Splosion Man, I would not have been a happy camper.
