It looks like the UK TV series Black Mirror had it pretty spot on when it comes to the future of consoles.

Hopefully Microsoft don't add the other parts, like eye tracking to force you to watch adverts. The exercise bike addon would be interesting though.
It's a great series, if you have the time I recommend it.
