If their games were accessiable on a Wii U in the manner Steam games are accessiable on a PC would it be better, the PC does not have much of a used games market these days, especially with so much digital distribution, we accepted that quite readily over the years (PC Gamers) |
Oh I got no issues with DRM on PC cause as I said steam has no time limit (unless valve go bankrupt)
Problem with consoles is they eventually end services. Hell you don't even have to end the generation to see that a lot of multiplayer games that launched no have no servers avialable.
Now imagine DRM on a console, once they move onto next gen then DRM authentication will not happen. So how will I be able to demonstrate to the console that I own these games? Only solution I see is that at the end of the gen they remove the DRM. That way I will be able to play my old games on any console I want (should one fail and I need replacing).
