Yes. As it turns out, the WiiU is aimed at gamers while the XBone is aimed at NFL fans.

There are many different types of gamers and the ones that would game on a Wii U or XBox are completely different.


Are you implying that old "hardcore x casual" thing ? With the rise of tablets and smartphones, probably there´s not a "casual" audience for consoles anymore. Besides, the market is shrinking year after year and consoles are again niche.

We cannot be sure about those divisions anymore. Remember that the Xbox has the kinect so a portion of the so-called "casual" market is interested on it, and that many older and experienced gamers actually prefer the WiiU for the nostalgia factor. Both are bought my fans of videogames.
