.......but you can, you know that right? You can plug the PS3 controller into any device that accepts 2.0 USB. I sit a decent distance from my TV. I plug controller into laptop which is next to me so it remains fully charged. Or if you have an adapter plug(something that goes in the socket and u can plug in a USB) that will work too.
