You know what's really funny is that there's all this hate towards M$ and the Xbox One for attempting to be an all-in-one multimedia device rather than a 100% pure games machine, yet in Sony's case every generation since the original Playstation they've done pretty much the same thing with their consoles in trying to broaden their appeal and reach more consumers.
PS2 pushed the DVD medium into the mass market, and was the first major home gaming console that had a primary function OTHER than just playing games. PS3 continued this trend introducing Blu-Ray and following along with other multimedia devices introducing all kinds of video and entertainment apps. Now we just had the PS4 reveal a short while back and they literally spent over a half hour at their presentation talking about SOCIAL MEDIA of all things and how it will integrate with their new console that's allegedly "all about the games" (except when it's not).
But hey, let's ignore all that and just attack M$ and the Xbox One for daring to further integrate itself into the living room by doing things like seamless transition between gaming, television and other multimedia functionality. Only Sony is allowed to try to connect all of your home electronics together, dammit!

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.
