I think that after adding up all launches there is a possibility of it matching or even beating Halo 3's opening day. What was Halo 3's first day numbers? Somewhere around 2.5 mil if I remember correctly. It'll be close.
I think it's interesting how much time and thought he put into just the visual element of making everything "jive" so to speak. He did an admirable job, everything looks very natural together.
