Yeah, that's right! That's one possible application for mandatory Kinect. Also, this is ridiculous: I imagine it's rentals this will affect, but guess what! I doubt people rent movies alone, they rent them with their friends etc. This patent could potentially be about multiplying the basic fee (in practice). That said, they haven't done anything yet so judgement shouldn't happen so quickly... But this is a horrible idea. Not only that, this isn't even an innovative idea. I don't understand why things like this can even get patented.
