"To me its clear MS focused on mass market and did a better job selling to them than Sony did." And therein lies the problem, MS are taking a route that forum goers and nerds all over aren't supporting. Sony are doing the same but to a lesser extent (their "Share" button bullshit, for instance) but MS are going all out with their non-gaming features. Their license fees, restrictions and overall consumer hostile models aren't going to please gamers either, there are a lot of poor choices in the design.
Lastly, being forced to buy Kinect and turning it on, and who knows, maybe using it every time you use your Xbox One is a bit over the top in my opinion.

There are no games or TV shows that could cover up all that. I'm not surprised though, it was in the cards all along, I even expected them to go one step further than they did. For me, it's crystal clear; I will most likely not purchase a console in the 8th generation, which will be the first gen I skip since the late 80's when I started gaming. The big three have shown me nothing but bullcrap, gimmicks and overrides and pure online focus, my PC will serve me well enough in the years to come.
