It's absolutely hilarious how many gamers were outraged at microsoft's unveiling of the xbox 1. If you've been paying any attention for the past 10 years, then it wouldn't have surprised you at all. When microsoft first entered the video game sector (back in 2001), they did so with the intention of 'getting in your living room', kind of like a trojan horse idea to take over every room in your house. Xbox always had multimedia functionality (as did Sony), so it's kind of funny how many people are now saying 'i just want a gaming machine, i don't want all this other stuff'. I remember back in the day, Nintendo was the only one who didn't have multimedia, & they got criticized to hell for it. Now microsoft has made their intentions clear, they couldn't give a crap about gaming, they just want to shovel you with commercials and other ways to nickle & dime the consumer (take a look at xbox live lately). Microsoft doesn't give a damn about making exciting games- they'd rather just buy out 3rd party games. Microsoft just wants to get in your living room, they don't give two sh*ts about gamers, so don't act surprised by the xbox1.
