Just out of curiosity, what did the PS3 do that left you sore?

I was the biggest PS fan since PS1 days, heck I own almose 600 games from the PS family. I was one of the first person to pre-order a PS3 and purchased it day 1, 3rd person in line over 100 people in line.  I lay down over $900 for it was dissapointed what it have to offer in the first year. Why pay for the premium price when the 360 had better performing multi-play games and Sony 1st party games at the time was a joke compare to the 360. After 9 months I got fed up and purchase the 360 and really never look back. Biggest dissapointment in my gaming life, you expect a system that cost almost double your competitor will provide more quality or equal to.

You poor, damn fool. You missed out on so much. So so much. Also, the 360 got a year early start, of course they were in better standing than the PlayStation at the time. If you look at the PS3 now, outselling the 360 consistently, it really paints a different picture. All consoles launches up to the first year or so are usually pretty sour. Just look at the Wii U, you can't honestly say it is doing much better than the PS3 back then.

You can't really be mad at anybody but yourself for rushing a purchase without (what I can only assume) proper research on upcoming titles, features, etc. Blind fanboyism is dangerous.

The WiiU exclusive games are 10x better then the PS3 first year exclusive games. The WiiU cost me $420 that half as much I invested into the PS3 at launch.

That's the reason I'm not a Sony fanboy anymore.

Eh, that is debatable. The super mario bros Wii U is essential the same as the Wii, most of the noticeble games from third party were ports of sequels (ACIII, MEIII, Batman: AC) and other games like Tekken, skylanders, Darksiders and ninja gaiden have been done for some time. ZombiU is perphaps the best exclusive the Wii U had at launch, it's like the Heavenly Sword of the WiiU. NintendoLand was also kinda cool, I guess.

All I'm saying is that you missed out on a lot of PS goodness. While i understand why you turn your back on PlayStation, you could have easily came back when the PS3 slim came out around '09 which is when I bought it which ran for $300, a very reasonable price and at a great time which was when the PS3 started to pick up some serious momentum.
