When Gamestop was talking about the XBO before the reveal they were pretty high on it. Which means they were probally already privy to the used games plan, because that is what they would be interested. So it my guess that Microsoft is offering them something in return to diminished used game sales.
My guess is they are increasing the retailer's share of the revenue of games and the console. It current rests at about $10 and $2 respectivley. But unfortantly that would mean a higher MSRP for both games and consoles. Because I'm sure Gamestop will offer the XBO games for cheaper, but also give the gamer less for their trade ins. (Probally will be worth less then those AOL discs.)
