I just have a gut feeling that Sony won't do this....or atleast to an extent....
the rumors of MS blocking used games/ always online were pretty rampant way before it was semi-comfirmed today..while it was pretty quiet on the Sony side...most of the used game rumors died after their reveal

What Sony is proposing is still wrong but I guess it "sounds better" than MS's "mandatory fee" way... but it does leave the door open for actually used games to be traded/borrowed without no consequences. I really believe that Western devs will take full approach to semi-blocking used games while Eastern Devs will make their games able to be played without any hinderance.(though maybe Capcom might...and maybe NB)

I think Sony is big enough to say "No fee on used game"(though online passes are okay) it's not like EA is gonna say "Fine we'll take are business somewhere else" do they really think that they can make up that 6 mil in sales(using BF3 & Fifa numbers) elsewhere.

The only thing that makes me think that Sony won't require a fee for most of it's games is because of the Vita; Sony seems to have a lot of connectivity planned between the two and their has been no fee for playing used games other than an online pass. and I think the PS4 will mirror the Vita concepts.

and surprisingly I don't think Activision will charge a fee for CoD, if they want it to be as big as it's 7th gen brethrens, then there's noway they'd enable a used game charge
