You don't counter MS same day. You let them have their moment in the sun. The real battle for interest for all three parties will begin at e3.

Heh, I don't think this is really a battle at this point. Microsoft is going to get every single big third party multi-plat and probably some exclusives and lots of DLC content depending on what they're willing to pay.

Nintendo is really not even in this horse race anymore. They would be better suited focusing on financing small indie developers, really it should've been implimented years ago at Nintendo to throw a few bucks at these little guys. If you finance 20 little indie games, worst case is they're all little niche titles, but at least it fills out your thin library. Best case is one of them creates like the next Angry Birds or Minecraft and you have a license to print money all of the sudden.

I think Nintendo is a very relevent player in the industry and should continue to market their product appropriately.  I think your suggestion that they are out of the race and should give up is kinda dumb and very presumptuous without knowing much of anything about the NextBox yet... most of all the price point and exclusive software.

I was referring to like competing for third parties, that's something that Nintendo isn't going to get into a fight with MS with.

The next XBox is going to have basically all the major third party support, we know that already.

i agree Nintendo will not have as much 3rd party support as Xbox/PS4 but it will still get decent support. Im thinking similar to GC, it had most of the big multiplats and some very good exclusives. As long as PS360 are supported, i see Wii U getting support which is likely thru 2015, after that its 3rd party support may start to slow.
