Well add a cool hub world with alot of exploration like in Mario 64 and make more worlds like in Sunshine or 64 you know real places where you can chill leave Mario to take a nap and listen to his Mmmmm Ravioli, Mmmmm Spaghetti, Mmmmm Mama Mia without worrying about asteroids killing him etc.
I am tired of all those little floating places since Jumping is actually the least favorite part for me in a Jump n Run game. Make it more run/explore etc and less Jump. I don't like small levels or little floating areas I want cool places like the Bee levels in Mario Galaxy or well to some extend the Beach.
Btw my favourite part in Mario 3D Land was the garden surrounding the Toad house since that was like the only peaceful place. LOL
