Unfortuantely I think it's bad timing. If they really wanted the attention they wouldn't have waited this long and just shown it at the event. 

They already made a major annoucement. GT6 is launching which means Europe is going to explode and Sony is going to pull ahead of Microsoft before the generation is over.
