usually, Kinect and PS move games are ignored by the "core gamers". Wii is said to be a console that doesnt attract the core as well because of its motion controlls. but the question is, will all that ever change? will there be a time where the regular and frequent gamers like our selfs be genuinely interested in motion control gaming?

also lets not act like moton controls do appeal to the core, MS and sony us the kinect and move to appeal to a wider audince, basically the "casuals". so lets not make the thread about whether or not the core audince already like motion controls.

Uhm....they do actually.

I enjoy playing some motion controlled games, as do many of my friends who are core gamers. They can be a lot of fun when you're playing with a group of people. This notion that core gamers can't possibly like motion controls is just absurd

they do? then tell me what games that are coming out now that support motion controlls? look at the list of games with motion controls and tell me if really, that list would attract all the core audince.

im not saying people dont or shouldnt enjoy motion controls. but it would be ludicrous if someone suggests that they appeal to a huge part of the core audince. why are people taking offense in that is beyond me

All of the core audience? lol

No game ever made attracts all of the core audience. Your OP implied that no core gamer could possibly find motion controls appealing, which is simply not true.

no i didnt, i said usually they dont appeal to them, which is true. my question is could motion controll appeal to the core in a big way. its not one game attracting the the entire core audience. its the controllers being a much bigger part in the games that are made for the core

All I can tell you is that core gamers aren't as opposed to motion controls as you think. I'm friends with dozens of gamers in real life and they all enjoy playing some motion controlled games now and again, and are all hopeful that they keep advancing in a positive direction moving forward. These kinds of forums, and internet communities represent a minority of players, most of which are the super "geeks" so to speak, who are dead set in their ways, and oblivious to what's actually happening in the real world.

Fact is, motion controls can be a lot of fun, and are recognized as such by MANY core gamers. Do they get as hyped about them as regular games? No. Do we play them as often? No. Are they technically as good/high quality as regular games? No. They are however, on occasion, a fun change of pace, and they do have their appeal. Even to the core gamers.
