You're mistaken. Nintendo only directly holds a 33% stake. But Creatures, Inc holds a 33% stake, and Nintendo owns Creatures, Inc. Which means that indirectly, Nintendo holds a 67% stake in TPC. Gamefreak has the other 33%.

You're mistaken. Nintendo does not own Creatures Inc. Look in their financial reports.

You're going to have to be more specific - what am I looking for? All sources I can find refer to Creatures as a Nintendo subsidiary.

Nintendo does not own Creatures, they are independent. You claiming the opposite and having ''sources'' advising you so is incorrect.

So the Pokemon company is free to do with their IP as they wish as long as they keep the games on Nintendo platforms?

The Pokémon Company can do what they see fit with their IP; hence why you see them venturing on IOS platforms. However, the relationship between Nintendo and the Pokémon Company is a complicated one as Pokemon trademarks are jointly-owned by all three (Creatures, Game Freak, Nintendo). As a result, Nintendo owns a ''piece of the pie' - 33%; however, they have no say in their daily operations (Pokémon Company). It is an interesting relationship to say the least but one should not see a main Pokémon game on another platform due to Nintendo's part ownership and relationship to the company.

So what if the Pokemon company decides to put past titles on iOS or Android or something? Legal copies of course.

Does Nintendo have a say in that?
