I think the strong content and a possible price cut will push some good PS3 numbers this year. That and some might find the lack of backwards compatibility a reason to opt for PS3 as a cheaper alternative to a Sony system or as a companion system even.
EDIT: And it does seem Sony is being conservative with their numbers. Perhaps as a way to appear on the up if they exceed their targets, rather than the mess they created by having the Vita selling tons with several downgrades.
Before the PS3 everyone was nice to me :(
