Pokémon will continue to exist as it is not operated by Nintendo. Pokémon is managed by the Pokemon Company which in turn Nintendo holds a 33% stake in. Nintendo has no say in the operations of the Pokemon Company.

You're mistaken. Nintendo only directly holds a 33% stake. But Creatures, Inc holds a 33% stake, and Nintendo owns Creatures, Inc. Which means that indirectly, Nintendo holds a 67% stake in TPC. Gamefreak has the other 33%.

You're mistaken. Nintendo does not own Creatures Inc. Look in their financial reports.

You're going to have to be more specific - what am I looking for? All sources I can find refer to Creatures as a Nintendo subsidiary.

Their website for one - http://www.creatures.co.jp/html/en/company.html

Nintendo's Financial Report -http://www.nintendo.co.jp/ir/pdf/2012/annual1203e.pdf (page 53)

This thread on Neogaf - http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?p=44429234

Nintendo does not own Creatures, they are independent. You claiming the opposite and having ''sources'' advising you so is incorrect.

So the Pokemon company is free to do with their IP as they wish as long as they keep the games on Nintendo platforms?
