first off this was not an official statement it was simply an individual employee tweeting ( with regards to the power comment he's a senior software engineer apparently so yeah i'd think he knows what he's talking about )

but regardless they've already stated that they are doing no further development on the wii u

...so why should they care?

besides the majority of nintendo fan posts i've seen with regards to EA in certain threads is how much EA doesn't matter to them so i really don't get what this uproar is about

Because as the OP said, you don't burn bridges, it's extremely bad business.

As for me, I own all the systems and don't buy EA games as I dislike EA very much.  Also, owning all the systems, playing games on them all and taking into accounts what other developers have said, it's been put to rest that the Wii U is not less powerful than the PS360.  Anyone who says so it proving that they just have an axe to grind with Nintendo.  Besides, great power does not make for a great game.  I have a very high end PC and can tell you that while the next MS and Sony systems will almost certainly have better graphics than what the Wii U can do, it will be minimally better and nowhere near the difference seen between the Wii & PS360.

I was plying the Wii on a SD tube tv the other day and couldn't believe how much better it looked on there than our 60" 1080P tv.  The Wii just was not meant to be played on a HD tv.  Graphically, the Wii U will have no problem holding it's own, something that the Wii could not do.
