I'd buy both especially if it was cross save. Persona 3 sold aroung 660,000 and FES sold 630,000. I'll add that to the OP. 

What's the difference between the normal and FES versions? Is it just a rerelease with added content, and was it also released on the PS2, or was it a PSP title? o.O The only ones I've heard of are Persona 3 and P3P lol.

Yep just a re-release (still on PS2) with more Personas, fixed bugs, and I think added a social link or two. I only own FES on PS3 through PS2 classics so I don't exactly know everything that was changed.
