Top Secret Iwata Asks.....it most be EA.

It would be hilarious if Nintendo had EA spreading a heap of false information only to unveil that the "unprecedented partnership" still exists, that they've been working on exclusive Nintendo-platform titles utilising a dedicated engine that shows off what the Wii U can do, that Nintendo had always been planning on having a dedicated Origin Store on the eShop, available "right now", and that two of their biggest titles are going to be Sims x Animal Crossing and Battalion Wars Battlefield.

But let's be realistic - if there was going to be a "top secret" Iwata Asks, it would probably be focused on a batch of major titles that wouldn't be revealed during the other ones, rather than on a specific publisher. I could see GTA V, SoulCalibur x Legend of Zelda (fighting game featuring not just Link, but also Zelda, Ganondorf, Ghirahim, a Zora, and Majora's Wrath), Mario and Sonic Adventure, and Final Fantasy Versus XIII (exclusive).

OK, that wasn't particularly realistic, but it's fun to speculate like that. The realistic part is "a few game announcements we wanted to give special emphasis".

Anyway, this does sound like a great timetable, and would be very smart of Nintendo if they did do it. But until there's at least a small amount of evidence supporting the claim, I'm putting it on the "attention-seeking" pile. My biggest concern is the "NintE3do" part - would Nintendo really do that? I have trouble picturing them dropping the third "n" to do it, when they could just have the 3 as a superscript above the E, and then continue with "ndo" after it.

EDIT: Oh, and if Square Enix are announcing Final Fantasy titles, I'd want to see three games, but not in a trilogy - Final Fantasy Versus XIII, Final Fantasy X HD, and Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life as a King II (featuring actual dungeon exploration and boss battles as well as the management features).
