The Wonderful 101 is a Nintendo TItle, their games tend to sell steady and great at launch just in Japan. I don't think GTA is that big in Japan as to opaque TW101. That is the difference with Rayman Legends.
Nintendo has never cared about western big titles releasing at the same time as their franchises.
"Leave Luck to Heaven", Nintendo believe in their games, they are confident. Even if those games don't brake records, they are good enough to profit well above production budget levels. As easy as that.
Besides Nintendo said, "you will have steady Nintendo first party released games when we start to do that". Yeap, I would like that to be right now but hey let them do what they have to.
