Ah, you quoted me before my edit.
The ad hominem is valid in this case because we are trying to establish his credentials as a professional in the video game industry. I submit that his unprofessional conduct degrades his credibility, leaving aside the fact that there are plenty of routes (including, again, other EA employees) through which he can be proven to have been talking out of his ass.
