I don't think it ever will. I would expect an exponential drop in sales to have already begun. Unlike past PlayStations it hasn't hit a $99 price point yet. It's too expensive for budget shoppers but soon won't be the latest model, leaving it in limbo. Unless PS4 is very expensive, I think PS3 will drop a lot next year.
