Government watching people based on metrics and taking some in reminds me of a recent anime called Psycho Pass in which people's propensity for crime is measured by machines and the government arrests them not for doing anything, but because of their probability of doing something.
Definitely interested, I'd love a first party RPG from Sony (unfortunately I'd have to agree that at least for gameplay this is likely to have a Monster Hunter type vibe) since their efforts are usually top notch and I could always use another great RPG. But a Monster Hunter type game with an interesting narrative ala Soul Sacrifice wouldn't be bad either.
