No thanks. If Retro returns to the Metroid world, I want them to really break from the mold as they did with Prime at its time of release. Totally new theme, world, villians, atmosphere, everything. Maybe 2-player co-op, an all-new look for Samus. Don't even call it Metroid. The only thing they should keep is the sci-fi setting, exploration, adventure, and power-up collection. But they should adapt some modern gaming elements, then take it to the next level. Metroid's theme and story was groundbreaking for 1986, but now it needs something fresh beyond even the Prime games. If Nintendo wants the series to be a true gaming pillar in terms of popularity, the series would need a little more 'Star Wars' and a little less 'Aliens'.
