This is happening because Nintendo is not willing to pay in order to have the game. 3rd party publishers think nintendo consoles are worthless, because their games will sell like crap; so what nintendo needs to do is to pay them to get the games on the WiiU. Also nintendo needs to promote those games on their consoles so that WiiU owners buy the games. Having doing so, the games will sell nice, and will be worth the while for 3rd party publishers.

The 360 did the same thing, so that the 360 can have the games, and also M$ helped them a lot with the advertisement. The 360 was a nextgen console, but in comparison to the PS2 it performed like crap. One of this examples is Guitar Hero 2 for the 360. M$ payed for that, and that happened with lots of games. And because of that games began too sell, and that showed 3rd party developers the 360 was a viable platform. Since then M$ does not need to pay for games anymore.

Nintendo needs to pay now, so that they don't loose money later.
