All things being equal that might be so. However things probably aren't equal. We must not forget that Microsoft has yet to unveil its console, and neither them or Sony. Has set the price of their consoles, their launch dates, or their respective launch lineups. That could further choke off Wii U sales. In other words both could make a seriously strong case that consumers should just save their money up to buy their new consoles. Not to mention that there is a strong possibility that they both will reduce the price of their current consoles. Which are the ones that are actually competing with the Wii U.
