You will have to say to Nintendo that the Pad was stole or anything like... I think Nintendo didn't show the price for a new one... I know the replace is priced at $85 in US.
In any case you need a good excuse to buy a new one from Nintendo... and the process is not fast too... you have to make a order and the replace is made in a predetermined time (at maximum 30 days I guess).
