The quote is a few days old. And I agree with him, and it does mirror what EA has been saying recently. The conditions are less than favorable. The die hards will buy the new console but after that is a question of when will the rest of the core and then casuals adopt. If the last 3 major launches are any indication it will take awhile, and aggressive measures by the manufacture for each console to get to a healthy level where it will not hurt the bottom line as much to transition from one generation to the next. I expect this process to take a year or so longer then last gen, where we will see major third party support for the older consoles well into 2015.
