I used Add Block Plus and tend to block several Avatars and signature pictures. It gets them out of the way so they no longer bug me and I can enjoy the post, not the lack of style, taste, or the need to annoy that the poster may have.
Lately, I block a looping one where a girl shows her butt to the camera - swaying back and forth, another where where somebody has a tattoo inside their mouth, and another where a guys head bobbing annoyingly.
Pretty much, it solves the annoyance nicely. Makes for a brighter day.
