Quality Ignored: Why Hardcore Gamers Should Embrace PS Vita

I agree but the biggest issue with them I think is still how they are marketed...or general lack there of by Sony. PSP's issue was that from the start it was a Multimedia device....before a multifunctioning device such as itself was popular. People just wanted a handheld gaming system. Not to mention some of the PSP's features never fully came together to be usable(the internet).

Now here is the Vita.....advertised as a Hardcore gaming system, in a time where people WANT a multifunctioning all in one device. The Vita could totally be targeted at the Tablet buying market, as it offers much of the same value, and then some with its superior gaming capabilities and its a market where the Vita would have been considered a steal. The console's over all visibility is shitty. Sony barely advertises when in honesty, they would have to do at least twice the amount of adverts as Nintendo just to make it's presense known (thats what MS did with 360).

 

Yet, like the article says, the system is actually quite wonderful for all that did buy it. I am in gaming heaven with this thing, and generally prefer to play everything on it these days. I have already bought twice as many games for my Vita as I did PSP, and I really enjoyed my PSP. The writer is spot on with the fact that current Vita owners feel like its a crime the Vita isn't doing better because it is just so good.
