This happens all the time. If a console is obsolete to another console and Power Hungry companies want space and graphics, the 3rd parties will skip it. Or they will release cheap shovelware for it. If the Gamecube had a 4GB disc capacity I think it would have done well. Dragon Quest 8 was originally planned for GameCube and due to space, not graphical problems, the game was moved to PS2.(I'm actually glad about that decision though.) Same thing with Dragon Quest VII. It was supposed to be for Nintendo 64 but got changed to PS1 due to space restrictions and sound problems. GameCube had a good life. Nintendo made profit off of it and that's all that matters. But the PS2 was just the console to have I mean, it boasts probably the greatest game collection ever.
