That reviewer really should have gone to Specsavers mate. You can immediately see the difference:

That's not too far off being night and day, the IGN reviewer was either blind as a bat, had a bad memory or had some sort of agenda going on. That's most definitely a noticable difference, and that's just with screenshots during the day. Driving at night is a major difference. Superior textures, superior lighting and a superior framerate.

People really need to stop thinking that the Wii U is only on par with last gen consoles. What little we know of the hardware points toward the Wii U being 3 or 4 times more powerful than the 360. It's partly Nintendo's fault for waiting until November to give developers final dev kits and tools and partly down to the software we've seen so far being rushed to make the launch and launch window periods.

Sub 720P and only 30FPS with slightly better lighting and higher res textures? Wake up, that's terrible for a "next" gen console.

720P and 30FPS for a game that doesn't even look that good....and the comparisons you did looks different when in motion.

Night and day? Prolly not.

Also the Wii U will do good on games that aren't CPU intensive because of the GPGPU which I admit is more powerful than current gen consoles, but very underpowered overall. Seriously, Nintendo's CPU is using 2001 tech. Seriously, what the fuck Nintendo?

I could never justify spending $300 for 2001 tech and graphics on-par with cheapter alternatives with larger libraries.

Night and day my ass.
