well yeah, pretty much. It is still a big market on its own, but when you consider that their gaming taste is totally different than in the rest of the world, Japan becomes a niche.

Third in HW sales, UK took second place. Japan is not irrevalent no country really is but in the next ten years I don't see the market growing in Japan I see it rather go down. While the most markets will be still growing.

VIDEO GAMES..... not just HW sales.... heck japanese market is almost as big as europe market as a whole.... lol to the japan is not relevant...
look at the current top 5 games of 2013...
Luigi mansion as one.. more than 1/3rd of those sales came from japan....
4 and 5..... DW and Animal crossing is japan numbers only..... and still made it to top 5...

Where do I say it is not relevant? HW wise Japan has become the third market and in the future it looks like the market will shrink while the most other markets will grow so yes the Japanese market will be less important in the future.

but anyways... so far japanese is still number 2 in the 2013 race....
2013 Japanese HW: 2,841,222
2013 Europe HW: 3,156,073
that is the whole europe
I know it will change drastically when ps4 and next box comes out... but this raw number just makes japanese numbers relevant....
