Pichu was lame, and we don't need a lame Pikachu clone.
No self-respecting Smasher would ever play with a lighter Pikachu that does damage to himself every time he attacks somebody.
We've got Pikachu, Lucario, Jigglypuff, and the Pokemon Trainer with Charizard, Squirtle, and Ivysaur. We don't need anymore Pokemon, and I wouldn't trade Pichu for any of the Brawl Pokemon.
