What games are you reffering to?
I've learnt not to buy a Sony product first gen (MS too), I've never had a 1st gen Sony product last more then 5 years so.....
I might get the PS4 port, if I don't own the PS3 game already. By the time I get it, both versions will be cheap, so why not play the better looking one?
Some games like GT6 which are rumored to be PS3/PS4 games, I'll wait and get for PS4 (when I get a PS4) since I'll likely play big budget games like this, often.

Compared to Wii U, seeing games like Deus Ex available for Wii U, makes me hold off buying the PS3/360 version, and work on finishing all my 7th gen exclusive games. I like to get the best version possible, but if Deus Ex for Wii U costs $40 and $20 on PS3, then I'll probably pick it up for PS3. However, again, eventually it will come down to $20 for Wii U, so I'd rather wait for a price cut.
