Coming from Jesus, I'd said that's a compliment. I will admit, thinking on it now, the PS2 had a lot of careting for the casuals and I was wrong on that part. At the very least, I don't remember it being so blatant about it. The most casual game I had was a spongebob, revenge of the flying dutchman. Nevertheless, my point still stands. The Wii U can win the gen, I highly doubt but there is no way it could have sold at PS2 level. |
I think PS2 was a casual system due to alot of people who dont play games often getting Iit because it was a cheap DVD player that just so happened to also play games. You could make the argument that sports games are casual, alot of people I know that u wouldnt consider a traditional gamer buy whatever there favorite sport but not much else. Also to an extent GTA can be considered casual since alot of people didnt buy it to actually complete the missions, they just wanted to run around and cause havok.
Im not trying to say PS2 was designed solely for casuals but theres no denying it didnt have its fair share of non gamers.
