In my map, I had 4 warriors with Counter. And no, I'm not using my overleveled characters during missions (with the exception of Chrom, because you can't not pick him). My "main" team consists of Henry, Say'ri, Anna, Pr. Marth, Serra, Florina, Marisa, Eirika, Titania, Mia, Karel, Matthew and the forced Chrom.

I never need a Hammerne staff in any FE, so it doesn't matter how far in the game I am. I only use weapons with limited availability when there isn't any other option.
That sure is a strange way to play the game, but whatever floats your boat. Still though, what are you going to use your beasts for?

Mostly Streetpass fights, got a couple of people in my work area that have the game and we've been having constant battles as we improve our teams. Also, been reading that some of the later DLC have some really tough battles that need very strong teams, so I might also bring them there.

Only The Strongest One's Name requires Limit Breaker/Legendary weapons.

Limit Breaker is only obtained in Rogues & Redeemers right? It'll be awhile until it comes to EU sadly.
