Good point, you're right. Nintendo waited over 20 years before making a true successor to Super Mario World, and when they did, the game was fresh and original, with great level design and new gameplay elements.

If you think the original DKC games are the same as DKC Returns then you never played those games. 

i haven't played the new ones but the point is that that can also be said of comments like lilchickens that state that all shooters are the same ( yet no one says anything to him )
