I think Skyrim is like the Call of Duty in the RPG world, and saying that you're a hardcore gamer because u have played 140 hours on Skyrim makes me think that you are terrible at games. What i am saying is that Skyrim is for the most casual of casuals in the RPG world and i really dont think its a good game, infact i think you are a disgrace to the gaming community if you love playing that game, i feel like that game belittles the gaming community as a whole.

tl;dr i hate skyrim with a passion

Of course. I'll go even further and say that Elder Scrolls is a series for people that just don't know any better.

what games are you all offering as being better? an example would be very helpful in understanding your pov.

Kingdoms of Amalur is better. Dragon's Dogma is better. Tera is better and it's free. The Witcher is better. Those are just RPGs. Practically any game is better than that trash they call an RPG in my opinion.

EDIT: Sorry, I kinda lost my head there. Skyrim is a lot better than Lollipop Chainsaw.

Adding one more for the night. ICO is nothing more than a tedious escort mission.

I have amalur.  I haven formed a full opinion yet but it's amazing so far.  I will try dogma.  Never heard of Tera.  Witches hasn't attracted me yet.  But I'll look at it again.

Yeah, Amalur and Dragon's Dogma are awesome (not without their flaws though). For me, they're tied for the best open world RPGs of this gen, even though they're very different games.

Tera, now called Tera Online, is a free-to-play MMORPG. I know, I know, those games usually suck, but this one is special and manages to look beautiful without demanding a high end rig. From what I've played, I would say it's a marginal step up from Kingdoms of Amalur in combat and visuals. I'd link you to some gameplay footage, but I'm at work. Check out some gameplay footage on Youtube if you're interested.

I'll second Dragon's Dogma. One of the best RPGs of this gen in my opinion, and a lot of potential to get even better if Cap com make a sequel. Brilliant game
