It's sad for Nintendo gamers how EA is acting, but it's what they've done since the Genesis/SNES days. They have a corporate ideal that Nintendo is their main rival for becoming the world's largest gaming software company, and the best way to hinder Nintendo's software is to not support their hardware. It's a terrible strategy for EA since it means they miss out on easy sales from ports, but it doesn't seem like it's going to change. In fact, it's only getting worse since the Origin debacle. |
We are already seeing their debacle, 1000 lay offs is something to be very worried about. Lets see how they do in the future.

stock at close to multiyear highs, just secured a multiyear deal for a very lucrative franchasie?

The deal with Disney and Star Wars will not change anything if their management continues like this. Their CEO just had an insane increase in salary, games not reaching expectation. Making games for the Star Wars franchise will not change any of this things, they just have one more game to be worry about.
