I think thats a bit of a stretch since PS2 had DVD and I think games like Final Fantasy, MGS, GTA would have stayed on PS2 due to disk space but something like PS2-125m, GC-50m, Xbox-25m could be possible

Yeah, I forgot about DVD... Throw it in though as well as the other points you mentioned then. I think it would have stood a decent chance.
