Einsam_Delphin said: I just checked and yes Celicia's Gale does do more damage. Against a Mercenary, my Avatar could deal 55x2 dmg with Thoron. and 45x4 dmg with Celicia's Gale. Even if you cut the number of attacks in half in the event of my Avatar not having +5 speed on the opponent, Gale still does much more damage (55 v.s. 90). |
Yeah, been experimenting with it myself. At base attack number (x1 for forged Rexcalibur and x2 for forged Celica's Gate), the latter always does 85% damage of the former, per hit, for a total of 170% damage vs 100% damage
If double attack applies, that soars to 340% damage vs 200% damage. Guess my Morgan just upgraded his arsenal, forged Celica's Gate and forged Aversa's Night. Now, if only I could find a Waste dark magic tome, I'd be set XD.

Mountain Village/Paralogue 20 and Mount Prism/Chapter 24 have all the Waste you'll ever need.

Have to hold on till then. Haven't moved from Chapter 17 since I stared getting the 2nd gen characters.
If people thought that Nos/Aversa's break the game, what about a 50 Luck Armsthrift Sage using Goddess Staff? Free Full HP healing each turn FTW!. Seriously, the combinations in this game are astounding. Nvm, armsthrift doesn't work for staffs . Thankfully, my saving OCD saved my goddess staff .

Heh, I'm betting the only reason they made it so Armsthrift doesn't work with staves is because Hammerne exist. That would give all your weapons for all characters infinite uses and make shops obsolete!
