I have an iPad with well over 100 games. A lot of them don't need multi touch and almost all the ones that do is because of control. I think the idea here is to help the developers "convert" their code to more easly run on Nintendo systems, but the games could still be changed to use the built in controls instead, like the iCade compatible games are. Any touch screen that has controls is kind of silly to also have multi touch. I pretty much never use multi touch during game play on the Vita.
Stop hating and start playing.
